Summer Praises
The Author of all creation wants a relationship with you.
The smell of burgers on the BBQ.
The squeals and splashing of the kids in the pool.
The distant murmurs of loved ones and the clinking of glasses.
The crunch of pebbles underneath well-worn hiking boots.
The gentle footfall of a deer nearby.
Labored breathing, followed by relief as the summit comes into view.
A tent being pitched beside the crackle of a fire.
The smell of fresh coffee and the morning dew.
He is the Author of all of this.
This season is a gift from Him.
As the mountains come into view:
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.”
- Psalm 121:1-2, NIV
The time is now.
What are you waiting for?
“The Maker of heaven and earth” is calling to You through His creation.
He desires to speak to You.
It’s time to pursue Him.
And it’s time to let Him pursue you.
