Keeping Our Eyes Up

“I lift up my eyes to the hills—from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” - Psalm 121:1-2, NRSV

We live in a highly polarized world right now. Left, right. Rural, urban. Outspoken, quiet. Fearful, relieved.

In times of tribulation, division, uncertainty, relief, or confusion, let us lift up our eyes to the Lord. He is unchanging. God is our help and our stronghold. He will be our rock if we allow Him to be.

Psalm 94:22 says, “. . . the Lord has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge”.

Let us be reminded of a good God who loves us and protects us. Let us keep our eyes up, to the One who will never change, the One who made us, the One who sustains us, the One who loves us.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

In Christ,

Lauren
