The seasons are beginning to change. While where I live, it is still quite hot, there are signs all around that we are about to leave a season behind us. Back to school supplies are in stores (and have been since July!), kids are beginning school, pumpkin everything is emerging, and the heat of the summer will come to an end soon. Fall has always been my favorite season. However, this seasonal change is bittersweet this year.

I had no idea when I purchased that little cross, that it may have been a message to my future self from the Lord, reminding me that He has been here the whole time. He has been lovingly watching over me my whole life. Today, I do have confident trust in the Lord. However, over the past eight years, I can also confidently say that that trust has been challenged.

My twin brother, Kyle passed away on Sept 16, 2024 after a 25 year battle with epilepsy. He was the strongest person I have ever known, and life has been very different without him.
